Project Purpose and Impact
By istalling the Momogram scanner, the impact on the local society will be huge as women and child will be safe getting free diagnostic in a circle of time.
It is a normal practice in the western work, just to get a letter say you need to go for check up. We are in the second world now where it does not exist. But… with the diagnistic scanner Rotary will install, it can be like in the western world.
We want to make impact not only on making free scanning of brest cancer, but also educate doctors in new modern technologies that can give them a higher level of knowledge how to prevent.
At present, there is no mammogram in Zhovkva hospital.
There are more than 20,000 women in the area who need to undergo a mammogram every two years. Every year, more than 40 cases of stage III-IV breast cancer are diagnosed in the local population.
A new mammography unit will help detect breast cancer in its early stages, allowing timely intervention and improved outcomes for patients.
